my point is that the sun is not a symbol of Myrmidia in GW background up until the inception of the Blazing suns. Her high temple is in Tilea as far as I know, where her worship is more prevalent. As for Solland and Myrmidia both using the sun, well.the sun is a pretty common motif after all, and Myrmadia isn't really a widely worshipped deity in the Empire. The shield and spear that you mentioned were mentioned earlier are also Her symbols, not unlike the hammer for Sigmar.
